About us
BioSniff is a project specializing in the use of detection dogs for wildlife monitoring and environmental studies . Our work combines training in biology with experience in training detection dogs, allowing us to develop effective and applicable methodologies for wildlife detection in the field.
We have experience in national and international projects , including collaborations in Alaska on wolf tracking studies, where detection dogs have been used to locate signs in demanding conditions.
Currently, we are developing lines of work focused on improving detectability in wildlife mortality studies , with the aim of optimizing the quality of data in environmental impact assessments.
Over a decade of experience working with detection dogs supports our approach, which is always focused on practical application in conservation and management of the natural environment. We are committed to innovative technical solutions aimed at improving the efficiency and quality of environmental studies in the field.

Services
We offer wildlife detection services using detection dogs applied to environmental studies, conservation and monitoring of biodiversity in the field.
We complement this activity with training and outreach actions aimed at raising awareness of the potential of detection dogs in the environmental field.

Wildlife detection with detection dogs
Our detection dogs are trained to locate signs of wildlife such as live or dead individuals, biological remains (hair, feces) or other traces in the field.
This methodology improves the detectability and quality of data in environmental studies, and is especially useful in:
Environmental impact studies (wind farms, infrastructure)
Species conservation programs
Early detection of invasive species
Wildlife monitoring in the field
The use of detection dogs significantly increases the probability of detection compared to traditional methods.

Training and dissemination
We develop outreach and training activities aimed at raising awareness of the use of detection dogs in the environmental field.
We offer courses, workshops and seminars aimed at professionals and interested public, covering both applied detection and working with dogs in scientific and conservation contexts.
We also conduct educational workshops in schools and awareness programs, especially regarding the detection of invasive species and the role of detection dogs in the conservation of the natural environment.
